Can no longer edit messages in texting app

Not sure if a bug or not but the messaging app no longer lets you edit texts. I have to manually delete and retype the full message if I want to change something or notice a mistake

Side note: A revision to the keyboard would be nice, as the new pop up for entering messages on instead of how the app was set in previous versions is a bit odd and difficult to get used to
